  Be sure to download the latest version (3.79) of 'make' command. You may use make -v to find out what version that you have. ftp.gnu.org has the source code of 'make'. Follow the instructions and use the old 'make' to make a new 'make'. CLASSPATH should also include the current direcotry and parent directory (parent directory is for creating package).
